Money Talks is a large collection of Australian banknotes, each with something written or drawn on the them. Each was obtained by the artist while he worked as a bank teller in Brisbane over several years.

Individually these notes offer a glimpse into the lives of the people who once wrote them, and as objects they signify moments of shared experience where the money and the message exchanged hands. Collectively they show many aspects of life in Australia, and tell a story of its inhabitants and culture, on a medium that is quickly being made redundant in the electronic age.
